@tayloroliviaphotography

We’ve arrived home, safe and sound from our month long trip to Africa! Y’all -30 is such a struggle after three whole weeks of +35. I’m itching for this cold weather to go so I can get outside and do some creating!
We are en route to the airport!! I can’t begin to express how excited I am to be in Uganda again. If you’d like to follow along, I will be posting our adventures on my personal Instagram @taylorolorenz. Love you all, see you in a month ❤️❤️
Hi friends ❤️ things have been a bit quiet because... we leave for Uganda in 7 days!!! I can’t believe it. Still feels like a dream! Three years ago, Brett and I flew across the globe to Uganda, Africa. Some of my fondest memories were made there! When we left, I felt like I left a huge part of my heart there. I am so excited to rekindle relationships, create connections and just be in the presence of some of the most beautiful humans on this earth. That being said, we have A LOT to do this week. Your patience with responses is greatly appreciated ❤️
I love how Sydney used her red lipstick to create contrast in her engagement photos! That pop of red against all those muted tones 😍 SO dreamy.
Dreaming of warmer days. I’m so guilty of never ever wanting to leave my house during the winter haha! Happy Sunday, friends ❤️
Can I be honest for a second? This is the very first year I gave myself a set number of days off for Christmas. (I’m back tomorrow and so excited!). One of the hardest parts of being your own boss is giving yourself time off. #realtalk Worker’s guilt is real and taking days off gives me a lot of anxiety. This year was extremely hard for me mentally. I think we as humans tend to glamorize the “grind”. Yes, it’s important to work hard, but without balance, we ultimately run out of steam. And from experience, it is SO hard to work when you are burnt out. You just simply can’t pour from an empty cup. I’m realizing more than ever the importance of breaks, self care, and living/working with intention. One of my goals this year is to create a more rigid work schedule and to take time when I need to take time. Do you have any goals this year? Have you taken time to reflect and evaluate where you possibly need to make some changes in your life? Let me know 👇
Ringing in the New Year by painting our guest room and bathroom. I’m starting to think I sound like more of a little old lady than a 24 year old 🤷‍♀️👵🏻 What wild plans do you have on the go!?
Hi, friends! I’m alive and kicking, just in case you were wondering. I’ve taken a fair bit of time away from social media for a reboot. I’ve been taking this time to reconnect with humans, spend less time in front of a screen, plan some new projects, and reflect on this past year. Feeling so grateful for a year filled with endless support, grace, kind words, and incredible clients. Cheers to a brilliant, exciting, and refreshing New Year!
I have a few sessions, today in this beautiful snow! I’m not going to lie.. I’ve always been a little bit anti-winter because I am not a fan of the cold! It’s amazing what a little change in mindset can do. It’s a beautiful day and we’re going to embrace it! Happy Friday, lovers ❤️
Pro tip: Use really weird places, (like this lovely ditch), for your session locations and still get beautiful results 😍. Living in a not so beautiful town yields to me using a lot of very unconventional places to give me the results I want. There is so much beauty here! You just have to look a little harder. 😉 Nothing is ever too out of the box! I have driven past this little, random ditch so many times, knowing this would make a perfect location. I was always too afraid to use it because it doesn’t look so picture perfect from a glance. Trust your gut, y’all. ❤️ We as creatives can literally make magic out of nothing! When you live too far away from trees or mountains, get yourself some nice light, some beautiful humans, and shoot in those ditches, guuuurl. 🙌🙌
